About Jarrett Irons

What is there to say about me.

I am currently employed at Myspace.com as a Systems Engineer. Most people might ask what does that mean? I essentially am one of many people that help keep the site running. I do that by writing and running scripts. I prefer to write most of my scripts in either Perl or Powershell altough I do dabble in some Ruby among others. I also help operate and administer the many Citrix Netscalers that run at the forefront of the site. Currently for pass time I write code on my site and work on some of my friends websites.

About This Site

The gallery section of this site uses Loupe. Loupe was created out of a need to display photographs from Flickr in a gallery. Loupe is powered by Rails, the excellent framework for Ruby. It uses the rflickr API library to access Flickr. For displaying images it uses SlimBox, a clone of Lokesh Dhakar's LightBox JS library. Loupe also uses icons from Fam Fam Fam's Slik icon set.
